You set up your dreams on a window ledge, Of the prison cell that keeps you feeling just like dead. You wake up one day, to see the cell block gone, Your dreams are all there, you're right where you belong. But oh! To be free! You don't want to be like me, The past is plain to see. Oh, whoa is me! The vision at arms length, Is right in front of me. Once I was a vagabond, Searching for anything to turn me on. I had no walls to hold me in, The barflies and dreamers, they were my only friends. But oh! To be free! You don't want to be like me, The past is plain to see. Oh, whoa is me! The vision at arms length, Is right in front of me. The future is unwritten, but that don't mean we can't Write a rough draft. We try to hold on to old ideals, The furthest thing away from me, now, is my past. But oh! To be free! Exactly what I need, Was right in front of me. Finally I'm free! The only thing in my world now, Is you and me.

Day by Day 02:43
Sometimes I close my eyes to be sure That I’m lucky just to be with her The old folks say this first year’s the hardest But the rest should make us feel secure When you have all you could ever want And the heartbreak only ever seems to taunt With your best friend right at your side You can rest assured confident With your hand in mine as we bound across obstacles Couldn’t have hoped for a better partner in crime Day by day I’m happy that it’s you and I. The eyes I see when the sun goes down The lips I make smile when I see a frown I’ll always do my best and sometimes the rest To make sure the bad days simply turn around

That little red and white dress Those strappy little crimson high heeled shoes Man, I love it when she shines so bright I love to watch the way she moves You catch a helluva lot more flies, With honey than vinegar But I’m just sitting here Wishing and praying Hoping that I get to see you again tonight But you are your happiness I need it every day A smile for me babe, I hope it never goes away What is it that you want? I’ll throw a lasso ‘around the moon Pull it down for you babe, It’s for you I swoon You smile like the sun, And your voice is just like music to my ears And your words bring a smile to my face I want you and I can't make that clear enough I’ll wait my whole life but the waiting can be rough I lay awake, through night after night of dreamless sleep But I know that one day I’ll be with you So I need not weep But the sun goes down on another day And I can’t let you get away, no, no not you…

Kick off my shoes, It's a Saturday night. Throw back a glass of scotch to get the feeling right. Throw on some nice clothes Fresher than a rose, Cut just a minute ago. Hop into the car, We're driving fast, not far, Living lives you'd die to know. You can't slow me down, Can't turn this around, We're gonna drive this life straight into the ground We're going out, Gonna get it right tonight, We're gonna set this town alight, We're gonna get things done, yeah, And have a good time. Here at the bar we're doing round after round Doing our best to get lost, don't wanna be found. We're hyper-simian! We're hyper-simian. I'm gonna go home with you. Tomorrow, sleepin' in, tomorrow sleepin' in, Tonight you'll make me feel brand new... You can't slow me down, Can't turn this around, We're gonna drive this life straight into the ground We're going out, Gonna get it right tonight, We're gonna set this town alight, We're gonna get things done, yeah, And have a good time. We're dancing all night long, until the break of dawn Now we can't be stopped. We're gonna sweat it out, we're gonna scream and shout, Rock it when the needle drops.

When I was young, I didn’t think a lot When I was young, I wasn’t so hot, But the years roll by You know that time flies Don’t let it slip away I’m older now, but I feel it still In some ways, I think I always will Why worry now It all works out, somehow Just live for today ‘Cause it’s a small, small world And if you don’t fit in That’s alright, cuz it comes round again You’re feeling fine, With your feet upon the road May it rise to meet you And carry your heavy load. Yes it’s a small world It keeps on getting smaller From the babies in the city to the Folks out in the holler I know I’m not alone but the feeling wanes Everybody out there sometimes feels the same We’re small sometimes Though it’s just in our minds Don’t let it slip away So to all you out there who are just like me Just look outside and maybe then you’ll see: It’ll be alright If we just hold on tight Keep truckin’ until we’re gone. ‘Cause it’s a small, small world And if you don’t fit in That’s alright, cuz it comes round again You’re feeling fine, With your feet upon the road May it rise to meet you And carry your heavy load.

5K 02:52
You can walk a mile, Or win a three-legged race, Or even run in a 5K, At a drunken pace. Keep your eyes off the prize, At the finish line, With your eyes at your feet. You got left behind, you got left behind... You can race toward a heart to save And if you're running fast enough You can race toward an early grave. You can run on land Or you can run aground If someone is chasing you You can run around. But watch where you tread Because you'll never be Able to run at the speed of sound. Keep your eyes off the prize, At the finish line, With your eyes at your feet. You got left behind, you got left behind You don't have to run no more.

Small Axe 04:42
I dunno why you chose to act this way On this particular day: Did you think that just because you were a star, That anything you can do you may? I had just gotten to work When you decided to be a jerk. Makes me wonder what old Neil Young would do He'd kick your ass, I wish I could too. I've got a small axe to grind on your headstone I'll bet you die alone. But even if I were bitter and old, I'll still be better than you. You used to be so cool out on your own But those hipsters wouldn't leave you alone. The old town misses you, but you don't miss them too And for that you should just go on home. You chose to throw it all away For some PBR and a lay Everyone's laughing at you, I hope you feel it too You won't be welcome back this way I've got a small axe to grind on your headstone I'll bet you die alone. But even if I were bitter and old, I'll still be better than you. You think you are the sheriff of this town You control what's going down But who gave you the right to chose what goes on at night What goes around, comes back around. I didn't need to ask why And I didn't have the time to cry. Why waste my time and energy On someone like you, To care less, I'd have to try. I've got a small axe to grind on your headstone I'll bet you die alone. But even if I were bitter and old, I'll still be better than you.

Being Young 03:25
For all my weaknesses Sometimes I can’t see The greater strengths you bring out in me I’m of the opinion to Give credit where credit’s due I don’t know why you put up with me But I’m just starting to see The way things are and should be done I’ll take your little hand in mine And chalk it up to being young Sometimes I lose my cool I’m quick to anger you see but I’m trying hard to make the change I never had one good reason But your love’s as good as any A boy could have to rearrange But I’m just starting to see The way things are and should be done I’ll take your little hand in mine And chalk it up to being young Wait for tomorrow, dear, I swear I’ll be better then And better, still, as the days go by So if you’ll have me I’ll make a promise that I’ll never give you one reason to cry But I’m just starting to see The way things are and should be done I’ll take your little hand in mine And chalk it up to being young

All of the stupid things I say Go in one ear and out the other way I can't seem to get away from you But it's not like I ever really wanted to. Your hair's on fire in the right light. Oh I wish, how I wish, oh babe, I could see you tonight. There's something so beautiful so deep down in your eyes The open/close doorway into your disguise. I'm coming 'round And I'm into you From far away I'm close to you I understand and wish you well I'll pull you out of your own Hell. From your eyes I can see your soul You say that you are feeling worn and old But don't let their needs bring you down And if they do, you know I'll always be around I'm coming 'round And I'm into you From far away I'm close to you I understand and wish you well I'll pull you out of your own Hell.

Remember 04:03
I just stopped by to take a look at my past I close my eyes and it takes me there so damn fast I put the key in the door, then turn the lock I hope this time you remember to knock The binding is broken, the pages decayed I try to look deeper, but soon turn away Do you remember the fall, remember the crash? Or has it too, for you, turned to ash? Dust covers the pages, tears fall to the floor, The table of contents, I can't read anymore. I'm writing a future away from my past And if I am lucky this future will last. No, no more hurt feelings, no more anguished cries And if I am lucky, it'll be there when I die. Dust covers the pages, tears fall to the floor, The table of contents, I can't read anymore.

Roly Poly 03:54
Amble on, slowly as you wander the floor. From dusk to dawn, scramble as you search for more. Say what they will, their insults roll right off your hard back. Amble on, little buddy, further down the off-beaten path. Roly poly, roly poly, Oh what you gonna do? You roll up in a ball whenever something scares you Ain't got no wheels, no you ain't got no wings, Roly poly, roly poly got your world floatin' on a string. Where ya goin, walking round in your knee high grey socks, In the muck and mire, bramble, and darkness under rocks. Lace up your tie round your collar, and shine up your shoes. You play like the little guy, but man, I ain't nothing like you. Roly poly, roly poly, Oh what you gonna do? You roll up in a ball whenever something scares you Ain't got no wheels, no you ain't got no wings, Roly poly, roly poly got your world floatin' on a string. Got sticky fingers, strapped onto grubby paws. Sticking your hands and nose deep into what ain't yours. Time and again, I've seen it, always comes true. The man from Ripoffsville gets his when justice comes through.

I’ve set my eyes upon you The kind that do not wander But you don’t understand The power of these lightning blues It’s easy to see that I will hold onto you Within longevity anything’s possible Living in sin, purple hydrangeas Will bring that certain sparkle to your eye Country girl with your tattoos on Don’t be afraid of where life might take you There’s always risk in something new But let’s take the chance before it’s too late It’s easy to see that I will hold onto you Within longevity anything’s possible Living in sin, purple hydrangeas Will bring that certain sparkle to your eye Should winter come to your reel heart I hope a cold wind don’t blow you around You see, we can always restart And if you’re lost, don’t forget you can be found. It’s easy to see that I will hold onto you Within longevity anything’s possible Living in sin, purple hydrangeas Will bring that certain sparkle to your eye
